Software requirements

This training explains debugging and monitoring techniques without explicit interactive exercises, so no software setup is required. However, it can be useful to have access to a Prometheus server and a Go development environment to try out some of the mentioned techniques yourself.

Required experience

To follow this training, the following experience is helpful:

• Basic knowledge of Unix / Linux server administration,
• A basic understanding of Prometheus-based monitoring.
• A basic understanding of Prometheus-based alerting.
